Australian High Commission Visual Arts Residency at Gunnery Studios, Sydney open to visual artists in Malaysia -Under the Cultural Program of the Australian Hign Comission in Malaysia, a Malaysian artist will be selected to be based in Sydney for 2-3 months to hone their skills and create new artworks.
It's a good exposure for budding artist and the residency will be at Gunnery Studios. The studios are part of the Gunnery Visual Arts Centre which was refurbished by the Ministry for the Arts and opened in September 1992. The Gunnery currently houses Artspace, the National Association for the Visual Arts, the Museum and Galleries Foundation of NSW and Biennale of Sydney. The studios are managed by Artspace Visual Arts Centre.
Past years’ Resident Artists include Yee I-Lann, Abdul Multhalib Musa, Noor Mahnun Mohamed and Roslisham Ismail.
