Bank Negara Malaysia ("BNM"), the central bank of Malaysia, do provide scholarships to Malaysians to further their education locally or at overseas universities. It caters for First Degree and Post Graduate Studies (Masters Degree and PhD).
BNM will fund the following field of studies:-
* Economics
* Financial Engineering
* Accounting
* Actuarial Science
* Banking and Finance
* Corporate Finance
* Islamic Banking and Economics
* Law
* Syariah Law
* Information Technology
* Mathematics
* Engineering
You have to note this - you are not supposed to surpass the age of 30 and 40 for the Masters Degree and PhD studies respectively.

Let me first clear a few things up.
For BNM overseas undergraduate scholarship, 07′SPM leavers can apply right after their results are out through online application but please be aware that the deadline is one week from the SPM results release date (at least that is the case for year 2007).
If you are shortlisted, u’ll b given a call by BNM to attend an interview session.
However, some of the TOP STUDENTS of your batch may be called up even without application because these are award receivers (which means they are the top few students of the year and thus will receiver the scholarship ‘free-free’ to study in any country and any course) which are different from the normal scholarships.

i am waiting for my spm result.......
i am looking for oversea studying for actuarial science course.
However, i am facing the financial problem, so now i am looking for the scholarship offer.
I want to ask about the minimum requirement for BNM scholarship...
It is because i don't think my spm result is the top, but if it is just depend for the course, i will more confident to get it.

hi there..i've juz gt my spm result n its 12A1's n 1B3..bt sad 2 say the B3 was 4 bm..anyway, it was an unexpected 1 as i've nvr obtain even an A2 4 my bm..i will b appealing 4 it..anyway, as other scholarships which requires a minimum of A2 in bm, does the same apply 4 bnm scholarship??wat r the requirements??..kindly reply me at priya_ereka93@yahoo.com..thanks then..hope 2 get a reply from u!!
